We take it for granted now, but the synchronization of recorded music and moving images has only been technologically possible for around a hundred years.  The merging of these two already powerful forms of expression created a mode of mega-expression that has the ability to spin an audience through the entire wheel of emotions from their theater seats or couch.

Turns out, recorded music is someone’s (or several someones’) intellectual and physical property.  Music Supervisors become part of a production team by licensing these properties for use with moving images while minding all the spreadsheets and sometimes actively shaping the tonality of the story with music.

Little Boy With a Beard is “Artist and Production-Friendly”, meaning that I facilitate direct, mutually beneficial relationships between musicians, record labels, and filmmakers.  My objective is to put more money into the hands of independent musicians and at the same time make licensing music more affordable and straightforward for film productions.
